It already speaks jewellery

No workarounds, no "use the discount field for that". The words on your bill are the words in the software.

Touch

Purity of the old gold your customer brings in, tested and recorded on the bill.

Wastage %

The percentage added on the metal weight, calculated per item — not typed by hand.

Making charge

Per gram, fixed per piece, or a percentage — whichever way your shop quotes it.

Purity / 916

Every purity you deal in, each with its own rate, kept in one place.

Gross vs Net

Stone and dust weight deducted so the metal you bill is the metal you sold.

Metal ledger

What you owe your supplier tracked in grams — because that is how it is owed.

Why ordinary billing software fails a jewellery shop

Generic invoicing tools were built for a shop that sells pieces at a price. Yours doesn't.

Ordinary billing software

Ordinary billing software has one "rate" box — so you calculate weight, purity, making and wastage on a calculator and type in the final figure.

Vinfoz

Vinfoz takes the weight and purity, applies the making and wastage the way your shop quotes them, and produces the line itself.

Ordinary billing software

Old gold taken in exchange gets entered as a discount, so your metal stock and your books quietly drift apart.

Vinfoz

Old gold is recorded with its touch and net weight, adjusted against the new piece, and posted to your accounts as metal — not as a discount.

Ordinary billing software

Gold owed to a supplier is stored in rupees, so a rate change silently changes what you think you owe.

Vinfoz

The metal ledger holds the debt in grams. Settle gold-for-gold and it nets to zero, exactly as it does in practice.

Everything a jewellery shop runs on

Billing, stock, customers and accounts — one system, not four.

Weight, purity & making

Gross weight, net weight, purity and making charge on every line. Making can be per gram, fixed per piece, or a percentage — set it once per item or override it on the bill.

Wastage, calculated

Wastage percentage applies to the metal weight automatically, per item. No calculator, no rounding arguments at the counter.

Old gold exchange

Record the old gold with its touch and weight, deduct the dust, and adjust the value against the new purchase. The exchange shows on the invoice the way the customer expects to see it.

Gold metal ledger

Track metal owed to and from suppliers in grams. Settle gold-for-gold and the balance clears without a rupee changing hands.

Daily rate, one place

Set the day's rate for each purity once. Every bill, estimate and valuation across the shop picks it up.

Gold savings schemes

Run monthly gold schemes where the customer's payments accumulate as grams and are redeemed against a purchase at the counter.

Real double-entry books

Not a P&L assembled from invoices — a proper ledger with journals your CA can audit, GST included.

Estimate → invoice

Show the customer an estimate, adjust it at the counter, convert it to a GST invoice without typing it again.

Tags & barcode labels

Print item tags and barcode labels, then scan them at billing instead of searching for the piece.

Works on mobile

The Vinfoz Tap app puts billing, stock and collections on a phone or tablet — useful on the floor and at exhibitions.

More than one branch

Separate stock and cash per branch, with a consolidated view across all of them.

Your data, isolated

Every business gets its own database — your books are never mixed with anyone else's.

A day at the counter

From the morning rate to the books closing themselves.

STEP 1

Set the day's rate

Enter the morning rate for each purity you deal in. Everything downstream uses it.

STEP 2

Bill the piece

Pick the item, enter the weight. Purity, making and wastage come from the item and land on the line.

STEP 3

Take the old gold

Record touch and weight for anything given in exchange, and it adjusts against the new piece.

STEP 4

Print the invoice

A GST invoice showing weight, purity, making, wastage and the exchange, laid out the way a jeweller reads it.

STEP 5

Books update by themselves

Stock, metal ledger, customer balance and the general ledger all move with the sale.

Jewellery Billing — questions

Can it handle old gold exchange properly?

Yes — this is the part generic billing software gets wrong. You record the old gold with its touch (purity) and weight, deduct the dust, and the value adjusts against the new piece. It is posted to your accounts as metal, not as a discount, so your metal stock and your books stay in agreement.

How is making charge calculated — per gram or fixed?

Whichever way your shop quotes it. Making can be set per gram, as a fixed amount per piece, or as a percentage, configured per item and overridable on the bill itself.

Does wastage get calculated automatically?

Yes. Wastage is a percentage held against the item and applied to the metal weight on every line, so it is consistent across the counter and never depends on who is billing.

Can I track gold I owe my supplier in grams?

Yes. The metal ledger holds supplier balances in grams rather than rupees, which is how the debt actually exists. When you settle gold-for-gold the balance nets off without a cash entry.

Can I run a monthly gold savings scheme?

Yes. Customers pay in monthly, their balance accumulates as grams, and it can be redeemed against a purchase at the counter — the redeemed grams reduce the billed weight and the invoice reflects it.

Will my accounts and GST be correct?

Vinfoz runs on real double-entry accounting, so every sale, exchange and payment posts to a ledger your CA can audit. GST is applied per your configuration and appears on the tax invoice with the usual summaries.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The Vinfoz Tap app covers billing, stock and collections on Android and iOS, using the same data as the web app.

What does it cost?

Vinfoz starts at ₹6 per day and you can start free — see the pricing page for the plan that fits a jewellery shop.
